Golf

The course is just 10 minutes from Jaco and 90 minutes from San Jose airport. Sport Fishing

The cobalt blue waters of the gulf stream combined with the mineral rich waters of the Pacific create some of the most fertile fishing grounds in Central America. The ultra-modern 250 slip marina at Los Suenos and the brand new Marina Pez Vela in Quepos-Manuel Antonio are both just a short run on flat seas to blue water. Off shore, angle for wahoo, yellow fin tuna, sailfish, dorado, blue marlin or black marlin. In shore you’ll find snapper and snook and those thrilling fighters roosterfish. Manuel Antonio National Park Flora and Fauna Tour

You want to see monkeys? This is the place! The park contains several short, well-maintained trails which are the best opportunity in Costa Rica to see both White Faced and Squirrel Monkeys. You may also see some of the other 109 species of mammals and 184 species of birds. Volcano Tour

The Arenal Volcano is the only volcano in Costa Rica constantly active since it woke up after 400 years with the big 1968 eruption producing huge ash columns, explosions and glowing red lava almost every day. It’s a full-day trip, and the volcano is relatively inactive at this time (no dramatic lava flow).

Rain Forest Aerial Tram

A cascading 40-foot waterfall, giant rainforest trees and panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean are all part of the ride at the Rain Forest Aerial Tram. Observe life in the forest canopy up close! Skim just above the forest floor in a covered, open-air gondola that seats eight passengers and a bi-lingual (English and Spanish) naturalist guide. The hour-long ride travels into the heart of the rainforest on a 210-acre private reserve located in a transitional area between the drier climate of the northwest and the more humid climate of the southern coast. Canopy Tours (yes, the zip line!)

These exciting tours can be considered a thrill of a lifetime as you traverse the tropical primary forest on a system of cables and platforms. You climb to the top for a bird’s eye view and then experience the exhilaration as you rapidly glide between each platform, led by experienced guides who put your safety first. River Rafting

Damas Island Monkey Adventure & Mangrove Tour

During the Isla Damas Tour, your guide will point out caymans, sloths, crocodiles, boas, white faced monkeys, egrets and so many more species of wildlife, as your boat glides through the mangrove channels with the gentle currents of the coastal tides.The tour includes transportation, bilingual naturalist guide, ultra-quiet estuary boat, snacks and beverages. Tour times are tide-dependent.

Crocodile Adventure

One of the best ways to get a first-hand look of Costa Rica’s massive crocodiles, monkeys, and some of the area’s 120 species of birds is the Crocodile Adventure, with a boat trip on the Tarcoles River.This tour is particularly recommended for families and birders.

We can book surf classes for all ages and experience levels. There is a surf spot on the coast for all abilities. Our surf instructors are current or past members of the Costa Rica National Surfing Team; they are champion surfers and champion instructors!

Isla Tortuga

This full day trip to Isla Tortuga (Turtle Island) in the Gulf of Nicoya is one of the most popular boat tours in Costa Rica. You are welcomed aboard with refreshments and tropical fruit as you sail through the scenic gulf waters and then to where blue-green waters lap the white sand beach of Tortuga. Disembark for a day of relaxation, swimming and beach volleyball or just lie on the beach and do nothing at all! Sit down to a gourmet picnic buffet served under swaying palm trees, before the afternoon return to port.

Paragliding on Jaco Beach

Get the bird’s-eye view! A tandem para-glide on Jaco Beach is exhilarating and memorable. Our certified instructor-guide has 24 years’ experience and a perfect record for safety. Take off from the beach and glide over the rainforest jungle. Tours are $80 for 15 minutes, and $20 for 5 additional minutes.

Carara National Park

This is the northern-most region of Pacific rainforest remaining in Costa Rica, and is the beginning of the transition zone into the tropical dry forests of the northwest. Birds native to both habitats can be found here and the park is therefore a favorite of birders. About 150 scarlet macaws nest and feed throughout the reserve and can usually be seen around dusk flying west down the Río Tárcoles towards the coastal mangroves where they roost for the night. The park is just minutes from your vacation rental.

Sailing and Snorkeling

Ashuma is a comfortable, no-heeling, spacious, fast, quiet, and well equipped sailboat, and she’s and all yours.Ashuma is only available as a private charter so you won’t get stuck on ½ day cruise from hell with a bunch of folks you would rather have gone through life not knowing!Ashuma is a 25-foot Searunner trimaran (she has 3 hulls), which means there is a big cockpit with room for 8, and outside that cockpit are trampolines for lounging with lots more space, for lots of folks. But we limit Ashuma to 6 guests, and only your friends or family are invited.Ashuma charters by the hour with a 2-hour minimum; soft drinks, beer and wine are included as well as snorkeling equipment. Troll for big fish or watch whale and dolphin, gorgeous sunsets and scenery. More snacks are included as the time of your tour extends. We recommend a three-hour tour!
